Paint by Numbers for Kids: An Australian Parent’s Guide

Paint by numbers is a creative activity in which numbered sections help children choose the correct paint colours.

Pick a suitable design

Choose an age-appropriate subject your child loves, and consider the number of intricate sections. Young children may need adult supervision.

Set up an easy painting space

Protect the table, provide good lighting and allow time for breaks. Paint slowly, working through the design section by section.

Check product inclusions

Kits differ, so read each listing for the included paints, brushes, canvas and frame options.
